This advanced workshop brings together some of Australia’s foremost experts in trauma, emergency medicine, haematology, and transfusion science to explore the evolving best practices in managing massive bleeding in both military and civilian settings.

Dr Richard Bradbury, Associate Professor, Tropical Public Health and Medicine James Cook UniversityThe Sebel Brisbane; Cnr Albert And, Charlotte St, Brisbane City QLD 4000This full day educational workshop will focus on the latest innovations and trends around Tropical Medicine, led by Associate Professor Dr Richard Bradbury.
A/Prof Bradbury is an internationally recognised parasitologist and is the former Team Lead of the Parasitic Diseases Diagnostic Reference Laboratory at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the United States of America.
He is a member of the World Health Organization (WHO) Diagnostic Technical Advisory group for Neglected Tropical Diseases, and the WHO focus group for the ongoing implementation of the Gap Assessment Tool for Neglected Tropical Diseases – Diagnostics.
In 2023, he was a member of the select team which wrote the WHO Guidelines for Public health Control of Strongyloidiasis. He has published widely and is an editor for the prestigious journal Emerging Infectious Diseases and Parasitology Section Editor for the American Society for Microbiology’s textbook, The Manual Of Clinical Microbiology.
